Just some stuff I found. I wanted a place to collect it all together.
Behr‘s Paint Your Place – Virtually!. Behr also has a bunch of pre-designed rooms, under Be Inspired, then Rooms. I don’t think I can link to them – it’s an interactive flash application. Here are some I like (not necessarily for the rooms they suggest):
HGTV’s Interior Painting section:
- Painting a Room: tips.
- Decorative Paint Technique: Strie Painting Instructions: I like the idea of doing this in limited areas, like maybe the small bathroom.
- Decorative Paint Technique: Crinkle Paper Painting Instructions: Or this. It’s supposed to be easier.
- How to Paint Stripes on Your Walls
- Paint Technique: Venetian Plaster Instructions: I’ve done this, but we also sanded it at the end which made it shiny. We did it just on my sister’s faux fireplace.
- Paint Technique: Scalloped Design
- Painted Geometric Border: I don’t really like the specific way they did this, but I like the idea. Another variation on this idea: Don’t just Paint the Walls: Get creative and add simple designs with geometric masking.
