New Hampshire is ridiculous.

As far as I can tell, everybody pretty much knows everybody, at least in the literary community. Check this out. I go to this random open mic, and end up going for supper with Maine poet Robert
Siegel
and his wife Anne, and Worcester Review editor and poet Rodger Martin, at Del Rossi’s Trattoria, after readings by Spiegel and Pam Bernard, and an open mic where I got to hear New Hampshire Poet Laureate Pat Fargnoli and F. D. Reeve (yes, Superman’s dad) read their stuff. Plus lots of other really good poets.

Bernard read from Blood Garden, about WWI, which I recommend reading for yourself since she’s helpfully put it online.
